Clint Eastwood, Dirty Harry Callahan, whatever you want to call him… Walt Kowalski. He talked to Peter Travers for Peter’s show on ABC News Now, Popcorn, about his role in the self-directed movie, “Gran Torino”. It’s a crime that this wasn’t nominated for an Oscar for anything!!

One of my teachers (who happens to be a very liberal homosexual) said that this movie poses the question: “Who gets white America?”…what do you people think of that?

      The interviewing …
The interviewing guy obviously didn’t learn much about cinema in his life if he’s asking such questions. Of course- bad ass/hard quotes resemble those of Dirty Harry but only in the fact that they’re played by the same actor. Gran Torino has a completely different story behind it. Interviewer acted like he was unaware of the variety of Clint’s roles and the movies he directed. Lot of them where very deep, sincere and touching. Clint’s greatness is not only based on saying bad quotes

      …..Ya’ know …
…..Ya’ know people hated Bruce Dern for alot of years for killing “Will Anderson” in the “Cowboys”, aka John Wayne. Clint should end his western making with finding Bruce’s character from that film and killing him off as maybe one of those kids grown up? lol Bruce got dragged away in that film by a horse with a broken leg, but you never actually see Bruce killed in it. Might be neat to see Clint tie his last western with Wayne’s, and killing Bruce’s character would be a fun way to do it. Hmm?

    20. Fogslifted Says:

      …..Clint’s going …
…..Clint’s going to say; “Funny you mentioned that,, I’m working on……” lmao
He’s done such great work, and some very different characters, it almost seems silly to keep bringing up Dirty Harry at this point. I love Harry Callahan, but if he did another at this point, can you imagine how many dead partners Harry would have by now after all these years! lmao I’d say Harry probably retired to save any possible new partners years ago. lol For the true western fan I have an idea!……

    21. Fogslifted Says:

      Clint is a great …
Clint is a great actor and seems to me, from where I sit as a fan and viewer of his movies and interviews, to be a good man with that “Callahan” sence of humor. I do get annoyed sometimes at whoever is doing the interview. Some idiots are always trying to tie in each of his roles with “Dirty Harry” somehow. It’s like they all wanna ask the question they know he’s sick of and can’t answer the way they want, which is; ‘Will you ever do another Dirty Harry film?”. lol So they alude to it hoping…

I know old spry men …
I know old spry men like Walt Kowalski and it’s great because they’re never politically correct. You can find them in old barber, gun, or hardware shops in small towns. After hanging around with them, it’s hard to enjoy being around peers. My peers are way to politically correct. I’ve found them to be as wise as Yoda.
