I assume that you are talking about the sale and letting.of property (house, flat etc)

When a property is ‘let’ a property the owner still owns it but allows someone to live in it, usually for an agreed rent etc.

When a property is ’sold’ the ownership of the property is transferred to another person.

Most estate agents deal with both sales and letting.

Learn to listen to what the other side wants and try and give them some of that while still getting what you want.
