i am a teacher and i show my students how to play cards, i dont go into some of the finer details of the game or talk about gambling, but card games in general require number skills, problem solving, decision making and chance , all sound mathematical concepts, plus they have fun and dont really see it as a ‘lesson’, too easy!
Lady Gaga or Ozzy Osbourne?
Tiger Woods or Michael Vick?
Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus?
Lindsay Lohan or a Mime?
Lady Gaga (Ozzy Osbourne would be too drunk)
Michael Vick (I hate what he did to those poor dogs, but at least he knows gangsta friends to bust me out)
Miley Cyrus (she would sing and my captors would be dead)
Mime (just so I could laugh my black-bagged face off)
They may argue that we don’t have experience on what they expect us to be hands on with. Besides arguing that with our several years of working experience we can learn faster, I can’t think of any other reasons to convince them I can take up the job and deliver the work as good quality as those with experience in that position. Can anybody help me? Thanks a lot in advance
Job description may be different, but there must have been a close relation between what you are doing now and that job. It may be an extension of your present job and the prospective employer has found you suitable for the same and you are confident of adopting to it at a fast rate !!. Hence salary should not be a hurdle in the way !!!
How did the assassination of President McKinley affect the Alaska boundary negotiations
no
I am planning to purchase a new motorcycle from a dealership near my college after taking the MSF course. Preferably I am looking at a Kawasaki Vulcan 500 LTD (2007-2005ish). I decided to go with a new bike, since I have the dealership guarantee and not really have to worry about wear and hidden dammage. I have never purchased a vehicle in my life and I want to know a few things about the whole purchasing procedure so that I don’t sound like a sucker when it comes to the big day:
-Can I negotiate the MSRP price/price on the tag
-If I do not have the lump sum value, am I restricted to the dealership’s payment plan or is it flexible (ie does it have to be $X deposit with $X. per month ir is it variable?)
-Info on warranty, guarantee
-Do I get a test ride before purchase
Sorry if that is a lot to ask, but thanks for your advice!
New or used, It always helps to get to know the dealer. Good dealer salesmen will answer your questions regardless of your experience. Try and find a salesman who doesn’t make you feel "inferior" because of your knowledge. Contrary to popular belief, dealers want to sell you a bike at a fair price. Shop around but keep in mind if you like a dealer you will feel more comfortable taking your bike to them to learn the ropes.
New rider=Used bike. By a 2-5 year old, low mileage bike from a dealer. This will give you a lower payment, lower insurance payment and will allow you to find out what kind of bike you like. Used bikes hold their value pretty well.
Yes, You can negotiate price but some manufacturers don’t give the dealer much room to move on new bike prices. Try and negotiate the price down a little and get them to throw in a free helmet, gloves or jacket. They have more room to move on accessories than the bikes.
Check to see if you qualify for dealer financing. Credit unions are also a good bet. You will need some money down regardless.
Warranty is pretty much all the same for all manufactueres on new bikes.
You won’t get a test ride before purchase if you don’t have a valid license…but if you get to know someone at the dealer, they may let you take a used bike out. Doesn’t hurt to ask.
Best of luck! Don’t be afraid of the bike!
I have always used the “do not commit to a figure” strategy with everything in life and I have found that it does work. Does this go for negotiating for salary for a new job too? Tell me of your experiences. What would you do if you were in my place and why? Do I instead tell the recruitment consultant what my lower limit is? Please note that the interview is with the consultant only and not with the company at this stage and that the recruitment consultant is not working for me but for employers
Don’t waste their time or yours – be up front and give them something to work with. These days no one has time to play games–go for it.
There is a good book that called ‘How to Get Your Point Across In 30 seconds’.
I am interested in purchasing a brand new car, the dealership has a deal that you can get cash bonus/cash allowance. I was wondering if you can still negotiate the price of a brand new car even though you receive a cash bonus/allowance?
Also that cash allowance what is it used for? Is it for a down payment or actually cash that goes in my wallet?
Cash rebates from the Manufacturer are separate from a dealership discount. The rebates can be applied to the purchase price, which lowers it accordingly, however you can negotiate additional discounts beyond the rebates. Make sure you know which discounts are coming from the manufacturer and which are from the dealership. Good luck and I hope this helps.
Kindly help me to write a reply for a job offer letter in negotiating the salary offered.
One could state that you were looking for the specif dollar amount that you want because of your experience & education.
HR may have little or no budget to negotiate. So be prepared to be turned down
